five years ago today, my water broke for the first time.i was having my first contractions.
i was making that very first drive to the hospital.
to have that very first baby girl.
i thought labor would be easy.....and if not, at least manageable.
i thought nursing would be a piece of cake.
i thought motherhood would be easy.
really, i did.
i thought.....nope, I KNEW.....that the baby inside me would be a boy.
i was pretty sure that other boys would follow.
life is full of surprises.
kate, in all of her almost-five-year-old-glory, has certainly been full of suprises.
we wouldn't have her any other way.
