sara had surgery on tuesday to remove her adenoids. it was a hard decision to commit to the surgery,
but after a year of chronic sinus infections and then a bad bacterial infection in december, our doctor
felt like it was the next logical step to getting her healthier. she did great the whole day.... the morning
was a little heartbreaking because by the time we got to the hospital she was starving and kept asking
for a snack or her milk. they finally gave her some medicine to calm her down and by the time of
surgery she was pretty loopy and happy to be carried back by the anesthesiologist. she woke up after
surgery so sad...and very mad about the IV...and in a lot of pain. they gave her morphine and after
about a half hour of being pretty agitated she slept for another hour and then woke up ok. she was so
happy to go home, and once she had a little lunch and some milk she was back to pretty much normal,
playing with her dolls and running around and back to her old self. i'm so relieved it went well, and that
it's over. what a good, good baby.
