some pictures of our last days of (lovely) indian summer.
it's been amazing, as always, to get these girls to parks
after school and just watch them play. i feel lucky to watch
my big 6 year old run and jump while still getting a snoozy,
snuggly little baby to hang out with me in her sling. it has
definitely been a wonderful fall to remember.

boo at the zoo

we had four happy cheerleaders at the zoo last night,
excited to do all the zoo things in the dark. the train ride
was awesome---dark and cold and lit up jack-o-lanterns
all over the forest. it was pretty cool.

sara had her 2 month check up last week.
she is 12 pounds, 6 ounces and 22 inches long.
she has an ear infection, which is sad, but
antibiotics are helping. she is holding her head
up and smiling (lots!) and talking (lots!) and
seems to be calmer during the day. she has been
known to sleep 5 hours straight at night but she
doesn't really like me to talk about that because
she's not planning on doing it again anytime soon.
(she said it was because she was sick.)

sleeping, or awake, i pretty much think she's
delightful all the time.

doughnuts for breakfast,
cookies to take to school for her friends,
grandma and grandpa (surprise!) after school,
opening the perfect presents with sisters,
irish dance lessons (her favorite) and
a big decorated cookie with six glittery candles.

i hope you made a big wish, sweet girl.
and i hope it comes true.
