soaking up our last days of summer.

i think i took about a million naked baby pictures of kate. now i

think to myself---why? what would EVER possess me to undress

a SLEEPING baby just to take her picture?! what if she wakes up?!

it makes no sense!!!

okay. i did it once with sara. well, a few times, over the span of two

days, to get the perfect birth announcement picture. i was picky.

dan was patient. sara was tolerant. these are some of the out-takes.

(the real thing coming to a mailbox near you...i promise.)

in grandpa's cradle

this is the cradle my dad built when i was pregnant with kate.

all of my baby girls have spent their first three months or so

in here....an arms length away from the mama.

a huge thanks to sarah and scott who took the girls to the pool

today. they had such a great time! we feel so lucky to have such

great friends...they even came back and had wine with us so we

could feel like we have a social life. (still.)

sweet sleepy sara at 10 days old.

i'm trying to get the blog up to date....i tend to lag a week or

so behind. sara now has chubby cheeks and brighter eyes and

i think pretty soon it will be obvious that she doesn't look like

this little newborn anymore.....we had a 2 week check-up

yesterday and she is already 9 pounds 3 ounces!

sara is spending her days pretty happily tucked

away in a sling while she tours the local parks.

walking around the park having contractions?
