happy halloween

beware......i'm a terrible editor.

i can't weed out pictures.

so, following this post, are about 6 others.....

all for halloween.

in the past week,

we've gone to four parties.

two zoo events.

and one trick-or-treat fest.

and we're done.

the costumes have been worn out....

rips and tears and missing flowers,

and batting oozing out of the seams.

tonight, I have

2 fairies

1 giraffe

and 1 super-scary spider.....

all slipped into sugar comas.

(okay, maybe not the spider.)

boo at the zoo

dan took the girls to boo at the zoo friday night.

it was such an adventure for them to go out after dinner and get to

explore their zoo in the dark.

i think there may have even been ice cream involved.

(kate and erin are fairies.....annie is a hybrid fairy-giraffe.

she may be the first one ever.)

all ready to go to the pumpkin farm.

well, kate and erin were ready.....mama and annie, not so much.....

putting 2 kids on a huge school bus in 60 mph winds is

not my idea of fun.

i'll be happy to see them soon.

after a teary good-bye,

the littles and i nursed our sorrows at starbucks.

it was the only logical choice.

our gorgeous fall continues, but a

long wisconsin winter is looming.

i send these kids outside every chance i get!

daddy and tess, last sunday morning, at starbucks.

post-church and pre-zoo, enjoying coffee and cheerios in the sun.

tess is going through a huge daddy phase.

she cries when she sees him, until he scoops her up

and gives her attention and only then is she happy.

today, she woke up with a miserable cold.

she is a miserable baby, and is definitely

missing the daddy.

he is at starbucks, alone. (i'm jealous)

studying hard for electrophysiology boards. (not so much)

have a good weekend, friends.

(we are actually enjoying the rain...no agenda and nothing to do....

after 2 insanely busy months, it makes for a happy, cozy saturday morning.)
