zoo, zoo, zoo

the girls and i spent a hot morning at the zoo today. if you fall down and chip your front teeth, i will take you, too. i'll even throw in a merry-g0-round ride, and let you sit on the zebra, of course.

my facebook status today read: seriously chubby baby thigh wedged in the slats of the crib makes for seriously sad (chubby) baby. eight months old yesterday, and she has a miserable cold, and then got really quite stuck in the crib. it was sad, and i almost panicked, and had to turn her completely over to extract her poor little leg. what a week we are having!

the girls had their last swimming lesson today. they did great. kate will now dive down to the bottom of the pool and erin loves to torpedo underwater. afterwards annie and tess and i joined them in the water....it was fun, and crazy, and i won't do that again anytime soon!

before

annie, before the fall. yesterday a scooter and a sidewalk got the best of my adventerous little girl...in my almost five years of parenting, the worst fall i've seen. she has two chipped teeth and a very fat lip and her gums do not look good...and a few scrapes on her face. thankfully, dan was with us....i was able to carry her home and get her in the tub before i found myself with my head between my knees trying to stay conscious.

today, we are on the mend....motrin is helping, and yogurt and chocolate milk and lots of extra kisses and cuddles for the girl.

tomorrow, i will get her on a merry-go-round as soon as possible.
