the girls and I just had a wonderful week at my parent's farm. the farm is a magical place to the girls....I can't blame them. a big treehouse, butterflies everywhere you look, huge open spaces, noisy chickens, two hungry goats, and a really happy dog. for me, I enjoyed 5-mile runs every morning, a little break from reality, and the chance to watch my girls explore the home I've always loved.

it was really, really good to be home.

the butterflies at the farm were amazing!

breakfasts in the treehouse, early morning searches for crickets and one small, fat (loved) toad.

life is good on the farm.

seven

Tess turned seven months and figured out how to sit up by herself while we were at the farm. She is a proud baby girl!

say good-night

the children employ a clever bedtime stall tactic: saying good-night to all the animals.

Annie got hold of the very first ripe tomato of the season....and then proceeded to eat the entire thing!

We just got home from a great week at the farm. Lots of pictures to post, but I'll start with these (that are from my phone!) We had a really nice morning with GG at the park and then took her out to lunch. GG learned the value of ice cream and toddlers: you always get to finish their cones!

almost two

almost 2?
into everything, most of the time
thumb in mouth, in my hair, at my heels.
"mamamamaupwithyou" all day long.
this one, i think, will always be my baby.

(i think i'll keep her that way)
