Okay, I'll admit it. It's like some type of blogger-fraud.....these are old. Pretty old....4 weeks old. My picture project is broken and I was looking back and found this file. I can't believe I never posted it.....too busy, and too many pictures to look through, probably, so I set it aside. Well, here it is today. A little slice of summer heaven...a long weekend before Dan started his new fellowship. This is how I think I will remember summer 2009: bike rides to our beloved Menomonee River, playing on the shores and wading in the waters, a picnic in the park, climbing trees, and three wiggly giggly sticky little girls, always up for an activity and happy for a good time.
Our favorite mode of transportation in the summer. Erin in the seat behind me and Kate and Annie behind Erin. (or Kate and Annie behind Daddy, if we're lucky!)

Kate's first family portrait (minus 2 members, because she ran out of room!) I am proud.
Carrie came over from Madison on Friday and we took all the cousins to the zoo. They looooove the train and the merry-go-round and it's even possible that they may have noticed 1 or 2 animals.
We plant a garden every summer that has a sole purpose of producing basil for pesto (and some other random herbs to flavor our Thanksgiving turkey!) Pesto is hands-down the kids favorite meal....they gobble it up on pasta and beg for seconds and thirds. Even Annie goes to bed at night with baby garlic breath! Kate and I made 12 batches of it this week to stock our freezer for a long Wisconsin winter.
