Ocken Christmas

Hemsworth Christmas

Milwaukee Christmas

After weeks (okay, months!) of using Santa Claus as our one best good behavior motivator, he finally came......now we move on to the Easter Bunny!

He knows if you've been bad or good....

The benefit of having really young children is that they have no idea what day it is. According to Kate and Erin, today is Christmas Eve, and Santa Claus could be here any minute. Hopefully today the big guy only peeked in during the quieter moments, like Kate dictating her Christmas letter while Annie intently listened, and not during the louder ones, like when Kate "gobbled" Erin. Regardless, the children are nestled snug in....Erin's bed....and those visions of sugarplums are right around the corner. Merry Christmas, good friends. We'll be back this weekend!

Erin

The holiday season is exhausting for Erin....or perhaps it's just her no-napping roommate who is exhausting. Oh, yeah....and that noisy baby who lives across the hall. Erin wishes for more sleep in the New Year. Me too, honey.

Santa?

We like to go to the mall this time of year so that we can stand a reasonably safe distance away from Santa Claus.

The Godfather

Chris always seems happiest walking around with a sleepy baby. Annie couldn't be happier to comply.

Wynne

Well, I liked this picture so much I thought I would post it again. This is Wynne and her mama, Cortney. Wynne is such a quiet little beauty. It'll be fun when we finally hear what she has to say to all of those older (rowdier) kids!

Holiday Cheer

Our good friend Jen hosted a holiday brunch this morning. It was so fun to relax with old friends and to celebrate Christmas with the kids. Thanks, Jen, for a great morning!

Kate's Cookies

Kate and I have been baking cookies this week to give to neighbors and friends. Kate would come out every day from her required "nap" time, see what I was doing in the kitchen, and do a cookie-happy dance on the spot. She has been in heaven. She is such a good little dough roller, cookie cutter-outer, and most importantly, frosting eater. She gets it honest!

Annie Exersaucer

Other than mommy or daddy's arms, this is Annie's favorite place to hang out these days. Her feet don't quite touch the bottom, but we prop her up with towels! Today we had Annie's 4 month appointment. She is 13 lbs, 7 oz and 24 inches.....hanging right in at 50th% for both. Hopefully she will only be on the gastric reflux meds for 2 more months, and our sympathetic doctor suggested a hearty dose of benadryl to survive the long Christmas car rides!
